For the first time, there will be racing prior to a NASCAR Cup Series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The famed North Carolina racetrack will host the inaugural BetMGM 300 on the day before the Coca-Cola 600 race on May 26.
It will be an action-packed three days for racing fans in Charlotte this weekend.
BetMGM 300 will be a NASCAR Xfinity Series race
Also for the first time, NASCAR fans will be able to place legal wagers in North Carolina on racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway. North Carolina online sports betting launched March 11 with eight online sportsbooks.
As the official sports betting partner of the speedway, BetMGM is the natural brand to sponsor the 300 on May 25. The event, which begins at 1 p.m., is part of the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series.
The Xfinity Series is a tier below the Cup Series.
Visitors to the speedway can now enjoy three full days of fun and entertainment throughout the May 24-26 weekend, said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt.
“We look forward to delivering an unforgettable weekend filled with entertainment as the entitlement sponsor for the BetMGM 300 and BetMGM Speed Street. This weekend is a tremendous opportunity to continue to grow our presence with passionate NASCAR fans and engage directly with the North Carolina community.”
Kameron Marlowe to perform Saturday and other BetMGM perks
You won’t need to be in North Carolina to get in on the BetMGM fun. Fans of NASCAR betting nationwide can get a 25% odds boost for the Coca-Cola 600 when they register with the sports betting app or website and place a wager on that race. They could also be eligible for bet insurance.
Another exciting event at the speedway during the weekend will be BetMGM Speed Street, where fans have an opportunity to take part in interactive games and simulations, meet famous racing personalities, and see race cars up close.
Country music star and North Carolina native Kameron Marlowe will perform at the speedway following the BetMGM 300.
Also after the race on Saturday, qualifying will begin at 5:50 p.m. for the Coca-Cola 600, which also has a partnership with DraftKings through NASCAR.
