Although online sports betting in North Carolina is not yet legal, it’s a safe bet that when it does, FanDuel will be featured prominently within the state. Like DraftKings, the operator already has a presence in NC with daily fantasy sports.

These operators tend to be the most widely available across the United States. Even in states where there are only one or a few platforms, generally, you can find DraftKings or FanDuel.

If you have not tried FanDuel and are unsure what to expect, this page will explain everything you need to know. Read the review, and if it suits your needs, download it. You can start making bets as soon as it launches in the Tar Heel State.

FanDuel North Carolina Sportsbook Promo Code March 2023

FanDuel North Carolina Promo Code

FanDuel’s welcome bonus remains the best in the business, and it has been consistent from state to state. Each company offers bonuses for new users.

FanDuel’s bonus comes in the form of a “No Sweat First Bet.” This is an alternative phrase to a risk-free bet that can be found at other sportsbooks. When sports betting launched in other states, FanDuel offered a $1,000 risk-free bet to new users.

Additional terms and conditions apply.

How To Register For A FanDuel Account In North Carolina

The process to register is easy. Follow one of our affiliate links on the review page and get the app designated for your Android or iOS device. Registration can also be completed on the website with a desktop or laptop computer.

After you have installed the app or found the website, click the “Join Now” button. You’ll have to give some contact information and verify your identity. In most cases, that will take only a few seconds.

However, there may be instances where you must provide additional documents. That step is in place to ensure your protection. Customer service generally is quick to review the documents and verify your account.

Bonus

New users can get a “No Sweat First Bet” of up to $1,000. If you lose your first bet with your initial deposit, FanDuel will refund the amount in site credit up to $1,000. The site credit has a one-time playthrough requirement, which means it cannot be withdrawn immediately. Once you use the site credit to make a bet at -200 odds or greater, the site credit and any winnings will be converted to cash.

You can also get money from FanDuel through its referral program. Users can invite their friends to join, and then both users will get $50 in sportsbook site credit once the friend makes at least $10 worth of sportsbook bets. Again, always be sure to check all terms and conditions so every requirement is met and both players will get bonus money.

Odds

Unlike a few competitors, FanDuel’s odds tend to really skew around the -110 mark  DraftKings will typically have odds at this number, but FanDuel users could find anything between -105 to -115 depending on how others are betting. It’s difficult to find a sportsbook that consistently has odds better than -110, so this is about as good as it gets for bettors seeking favorable odds.

FanDuel also offers point spreads and totals on quarters and halves in addition to alternative spreads, which are not widespread in the industry. For instance, if a team you want to bet on is favored by 6 points with -110 odds, FanDuel may offer you a line of 3 points with -185 odds or a line of 10 points with +125 odds.

We generally find the odds available across all markets favorable, whether you’re looking for standard game odds, like spreads and totals, or specific team and player props. Luckily, there’s plenty of variety to be found at FanDuel as well. We’d highly recommend keeping FanDuel among the rotation when shopping for the best odds.

Depth

The biggest advantage a sports bettor has is their ability to choose which bets to make. You don’t have to put your money down just because a point spread, total, or prop bet is listed on a website.

Therefore, having a lot of options is great for the user. FanDuel has plenty of options. You can bet on all the major American sports like the NFL, NBA, MLB, and college football in addition to leagues with those sports all around the world.

FanDuel doesn’t limit you to those sports either. You can bet on things like ice hockey, boxing, golf, combat sports, rugby, and table tennis.

In almost all cases, you can bet on more than just who will win and how many points will be scored. Various team and player props are extensive. Nearly every futures market can be found in most popular sports.

Over time, we’ve seen FanDuel really compete with some of the top platforms in the country, such as DraftKings, for market variety. The operator also seems to frequently try out newer types of markets.

Some of our few complaints on FanDuel include a little bit of convolution in the app or the website when trying to find a specific market. It can be a little too easy to miss a bet you’re trying to find. It’s also required to open up prop boxes to see what the odds are.

Cashout

There are plenty of options to deposit and cash out, making that process as easy as it gets.

To deposit, you can use your debit card, credit card, online bank, or your PayPal account to deposit. You can even use cash if you go to the FanDuel cage at one of the company’s land-based gaming partners. There is also a PayNearMe feature that allows you to go to your local 7-11, CVS Pharmacy, or Family Dollar.

There are several options to withdraw, too. You can use the same online bank or your PayPal account that you used to deposit. You can also request a check by mail, and you can collect your winnings at a land-based sportsbook that partners with FanDuel.

FanDuel is as fast as it gets when approving most withdrawal requests, often approving them in as little as one business day. More options are coming up available over time. We’ll know exactly what FanDuel can provide in NC when the legalization process advances.

App

Because it has been successfully running Daily Fantasy Sports since 2009, it has had ample opportunity to improve and tweak the FanDuel Sportsbook app. It is sleek, easy to understand, and visually impressive. Remember, the daily fantasy and sportsbook apps are different from each other, even if the icon and layouts look similar.

In the past year, FanDuel had a major overhaul of their sportsbook app. Players are treated to a faster app that still looks visually appealing. Both the website and mobile app are very similar to each other, making it easy to switch from one to the other.

Throughout the industry, there’s few apps that can top FanDuel’s experience. However, there’s always room for improvement. FanDuel Sportsbook does suffer from some login quirks depending on the device being used.

Overall

When it comes to sportsbooks in the United States, FanDuel is one of the most recognizable. Because of its experience, its extensive success, and rave reviews from all over, it’s among the elite companies in the American sports betting world.

Looking at the sportsbook platform in other states, it’s easily one of the best to choose and constantly play on. There’s plenty of bonuses offered for current users, a very competitive welcome offer for new players, and great odds for a number of markets.

Check back with this review to find out more specific details on the FanDuel Sportsbook NC app when it launches.

Is FanDuel Legit?

Yes, it is. Look no further than the fact that FanDuel already operates in 10 states. That means various governing bodies already have looked into it and chose to use it. If North Carolina legalizes sports betting, the state’s government will also investigate it.

FanDuel already offers daily fantasy sports to North Carolina residents so the company is well known throughout the state.

It also would likely be regulated by the North Carolina Consumer Protection Division.

In addition to that, FanDuel’s customer service is available 24/7 to help with any issues. It includes a live chat issue through which many issues can be resolved in a few minutes.

Why Choose FanDuel North Carolina Over Illegal Betting Sites?

It is all about regulation. Since the United States federal government gave individual states the right to explore and pursue sports gambling, those states have been doing their homework to ensure their residents feel their money is secure.

That’s not necessarily the case with an offshore sportsbook. You never really know what you’re getting into when you send your money to another country with less-stringent rules and regulations.

If North Carolina legalizes sports betting, it will be regulated by an official state government entity.

Why Can You Trust FanDuel With Your Money?

In its Privacy Policy, FanDuel discusses the different safeguards it uses to protect the personal information it collects during the registration process from unauthorized access. For instance, it keeps information on files only long enough for business purposes. It also uses state-of-the-art SSL encryption technology to ensure your personal and financial information is safe and secure.

FanDuel also partners with HackerOne: a cybersecurity firm that helps FanDuel catch potential digital threats before it is too late. HackerOne improves the company’s digital security, which is already great because the mobile app and web site use SSL certification. The SSL certification encrypts traffic to and from your computer or mobile device and ensures your personal information is not put at risk.
