Carolina Panthers Betting Odds: Season Wins Total And Super Bowl Analysis

Alright, Panthers fans, it’s time to talk about sports betting odds. Oddsmakers know a lot, and even though it’s early, we can learn a lot about the Panther’s upcoming season by checking out the Carolina Panthers’ odds

The Panthers have had a rough go of it the past few seasons. Since trading for Sam Darnold in 2021, pundits even started throwing around “quarterback purgatory.”

Carolina hasn’t been able to push past five wins for the past two seasons. Can it improve on that record this season? Let’s look at what the sportsbooks are saying.

Some of these odds are likely available at North Carolina’s retail sportsbooks. It remains to be seen whether the state will legalize and launch North Carolina sports betting apps before or even during the upcoming NFL season.

Carolina Panthers Odds: Season Wins Totals

Sportsbooks have set the total wins for the Carolina Panthers at 5.5 or 6 – right at the threshold that they’ve been staring down for two seasons. The lines indicate oddsmakers think the Panthers could potentially make it to six wins but aren’t like to win more.

While mobile sports betting isn’t yet legalized in North Carolina,  few NC sportsbooks are likely to be the first to the table if and when legislation passes. Here’s how the top sportsbooks are drawing the NFL lines up for the Carolina Panthers.

SportsbookSeason wins totals
FanDuelOver 5.5 (-125)
Under 5.5 (+105)
DraftKingsOver 6 (+105)
Under 6 (-125)
BetMGMOver 5.5 (-140)
Under 5.5 (+115)

So, can the Panthers get over six wins? The answer may hinge on — you guessed it — their quarterback.

It’s tough to know if they can hit the over at this point since we don’t even know who the starting quarterback will be. According to head coach Matt Rhule, although Carolina snagged Ole Miss QB Matt Corral in the draft, they still plan to start Sam Darnold.

In 2021, the team gave up three draft picks to acquire Darnold – a big bet that has yet to pay off. Darnold struggled to deliver on the field last season, but unless there’s a trade in the next few months, Darnold will be looking to get some redemption this season.

While the offensive line looks tighter this year, we still have our doubts that Darnold will be decisive enough to ensure more than six wins.

Carolina Panthers Odds to Win The Super Bowl

Since season wins totals are looking a bit grim, Super Bowl hopes are even further away.

Here’s how the same three sportsbooks price an outright win for the Panthers.

While the Super Bowl odds for the Panthers are looooooong this year, there’s always hope that a late trade could change the tide. To make the playoffs – and have a shot at the Super Bowl – the Panthers will likely need a new quarterback.

Rumors abound that Carolina may be eyeing the Browns’ Baker Mayfield or 49ers’ Jimmy Garoppolo. We’ll have to wait and see if they make any moves over the next few months.
