North Carolina players have been flocking to sportsbooks since sports betting went live on March 11. That trend will certainly continue as the Carolina Hurricanes begin their quest to win the Stanley Cup in 2024.
In fact, FanDuel says Carolina has the best chance of any team to win it all this year as the NHL playoffs begin. The Hurricanes begin their quest for the Cup as heavy favorites against the New York Islanders.
Hurricanes a popular choice for bettors
North Carolina sports betting is off to a successful start. More than $650 million was wagered in just the first three weeks of legal betting in the Tar Heel State.
The top three NHL playoff teams getting the most action at FanDuel Sportsbook NC are the New York Rangers, Hurricanes and the Boston Bruins. The teams have inspired significant line movements since the season started, thanks to their strong performances on the rink.
The Rangers have surprised FanDuel oddsmakers most, followed by the Bruins and the Hurricanes. The ‘Canes currently see the best odds at FanDuel, but the Rangers have looked impressive lately, and they’re not far behind.
