BetMGM To Continue Partnership With NASCAR’s Richard Childress Racing

North Carolina-based NASCAR team Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has announced the extension of its existing partnership with BetMGM.

RCR, a 16-time NASCAR championship-winning organization, will continue to work with BetMGM as its official sports betting operator. Under the partnership, BetMGM will provide the NASCAR team with a range of marketing and activation assets.

BetMGM backs a winner in Richard Childress Racing

Torrey Galida, president of the Richard Childress Racing team, said, “Since our partnership first began in 2021, BetMGM has done an excellent job building on their partnership with Richard Childress Racing through fun, unique activities geared toward engaging race fans and sports bettors. We look forward to building on the success of our innovative partnership.”

Richard Childress Racing, established in 1969, has over 200 victories and 16 championships in NASCAR. The organization was the first to win championships in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Truck Series. This upcoming season will mark four years since the partnership between BetMGM and RCR began.

Based out of Welcome, the RCR team hub, museum, store and school is one of the most successful teams across all major NASCAR championships.

BetMGM’s sponsorship to feature prominently on team cars

The No. 3 BetMGM Chevrolet, driven by Austin Dillon (also a Welcome, NC native) and the No. 8 BetMGM Chevrolet, driven by Kyle Busch, will bear the sportsbook’s branding, as the betting giant will function as the team’s primary sponsor for select races throughout the season. The partnership kicks off at the Daytona International Speedway, with the Daytona 500 set to take place on February 18.

BetMGM Gears Up For North Carolina Launch

The event is sure to draw the attention of North Carolina racing fans: both Richard Childress Racing and Austin Dillon are North Carolina born. The announcement comes on the heels of news of the launch of online sports betting in North Carolina on March 11. By partnering with a multi-championship-winning North Carolina Team helmed by a driver from the state, BetMGM is gunning for a significant share of the market.

Starting March 1, customers can pre-register on BetMGM NC ten days before the full state-wide launch.

“Richard Childress Racing is an iconic name in motorsports, and it aligns with BetMGM’s goal to partner with best-in-class organizations,” said BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost. “North Carolina is home to some of the most passionate motorsports fans in the world, and BetMGM’s extended partnership with RCR will surely hit another gear with the start of legalized sports betting in North Carolina.”

BetMGM continues to expand its reach

The partnership announcement is the second major development from BetMGM in the past week.

Earlier this week, BetMGM and X announced their partnership to bring betting stats to the social media platform.

Both announcements could benefit North Carolina sports fans who enjoy following their state’s racing team from home.

BetMGM branding will be displayed at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with whom it has a sports betting partnership, and fans will also be able to bet on NASCAR through BetMGM’s direct interface on X.
