WSOP Circuit Will Make Two Stops At Harrah’s Cherokee Casino

The upcoming World Series of Poker tour will make two stops in North Carolina over the next four months.

The 20th WSOP Circuit season begins July 17.

Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort will host WSOP events in August and November. It is one of only two casinos that will host events twice.

Thirteen of 18 WSOP events in US

Live poker in North Carolina is available at both Harrah’s Cherokee and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River casinos. While North Carolina online poker remains prohibited, players can play poker online legally at sweepstakes and social sites that use virtual currency.

The 18-event World Series of Poker Circuit will take place in five countries, with 13 events in the US.

The kickoff event for the 20th WSOP series is Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, OK, a venue that has hosted the event in past years.

Meng was 2023-24 champion

It will be the 56th WSOP season, dating back to the late 1960s. The circuit series was added in 2005 in conjunction with Harrah’s to offer live events at their venues across the US and internationally.

Last season, Dong Meng of Sunnyvale, CA, captured the gold bracelet when he won the $1 million WSOP Tournament of Champions at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, CA.

The WSOP also has several upcoming online events. That schedule is expected to be released shortly.
