Actor/Comedian Jamie Foxx Returns As BetMGM’s Sports Betting Pitch Man

Jamie Foxx will return to his BetMGM family this fall, taking on a slate of new roles in BetMGM Sportsbook’s advertising campaign.

North Carolina sports betting is bracing for its first NFL season, and bettors will see plenty of Foxx as the season kicks off this season.

Foxx Plays multiple roles in three BetMGM commercials

The versatility of Jamie Foxx is on display in a new series of advertisements for BetMGM Sportsbook NC.

On its YouTube channel, the sports betting company has released three new videos starring Foxx in at least half a dozen roles. The three titles in the marketing series are “Anthem,” “Second Chance,” and “Feel Welcome.”

“I always love creating fun content with my BetMGM family when football season comes around,” Foxx said in a press release announcing the ad series. “We had a blast filming these spots and showing the swagger of BetMGM.”

Anthem

In the first of the new 30-second ads called “Anthem,” which has been seen online and on television in at least one Midwest state, Foxx plays a barber, appears with a companion in a camp at an Arctic locale, and plays a betting customer sitting at an MGM casino. Foxx promotes BetMGM’s rewards program perks, sports betting options, and its singular place as a legacy gaming brand. BetMGM’s campaign tagline is “There’s a feeling you can only get with the sportsbook born in Vegas.”

Second Chance

BetMGM highlights an NFL betting offer in the ad called “Second Chance.” In it, Foxx reveals the promo for football season: any bettor who places a straight bet on any player to score the first touchdown of the game will automatically win back that wager in cash if that same player scores the second touchdown of the game.

Feel Welcome

In another of the new 30-second ads called “Feel Welcome,” Foxx plays the same barber, appears in the cheap seats at a frigid football stadium, and sits courtside for a basketball game. Foxx shows how BetMGM makes bettors feel welcome with a special offer allowing new BetMGM customers to earn up to $1,500 in bonus bets if their first bet loses.

In many of his BetMGM ad spots, Foxx showcases the versatile skills he displayed in the TV sketch comedy shows In Living Color and The Jamie Foxx Show. He’s also a Grammy Award-winning artist, winning Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 2010 for Blame It with T-Pain.

“Jamie Foxx is a rare talent who can captivate an audience in any forum,” said Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer of BetMGM. “This campaign, in partnership with Highdive, taps into his confidence and range, and will both entertain and inform viewers about BetMGM’s exciting new features for football season.”

BetMGM Bolsters Mobile Betting App for North Carolina

Before the NFL season, BetMGM announced enhancements to its sportsbook app in time for kickoff of Week One. Those upgrades and feature add-ons primarily impact the user experience and live betting and odds options.

For new Tar Heel sports bettors, now is the time to download the app, explore the interface, and get comfortable with it before the Panthers kick off week one against the division rival Saints.
