NC Regulators Approve Nine More Sports Betting Suppliers

GeoComply Solutions, a leading geolocation firm for the sports betting industry, and SBTech Malta Limited, a firm that develops online sportsbooks and provides a range of gaming solutions, both received sports betting supplier licenses from the NC Lottery Commission on Wednesday.

Regulators approved seven more suppliers for provisional licenses in North Carolina as well. Those seven entities include:

– XPoint Services LLC.

– Aristitotle International Inc.

– U.S. Integrity Inc.

– Socure, Inc.

– Genius Sports Media Inc.

– Telecheck Services LLC.

– Banach Technologies.

GeoComply and SBTech represent the two fully-licensed sports betting suppliers in the state while the number of provisionally-approved suppliers now sits at 14.

Provisional licensees have 180 days to complete their due diligence to receive full licenses. Meanwhile, the launch of North Carolina online sports betting is three weeks away.

Seven provisional licensees

The seven new provisional sports betting suppliers provide a range of services for sportsbooks and bettors. Their approval comes two weeks after North Carolina approved its first batch of sports betting suppliers.

  • Xpoint Services LLC is a Miami-based geolocation and compliance company in the global sports betting and igaming industries. The company also prides itself on boosting customer acquisition and retention.
  • Aristotle International Inc. is a Washington D.C.-based compliance, data and software solutions company that works in the gaming and political spheres, doing such as things as providing age and identity verification services.
  • Las Vegas-based U.S. Integrity Inc. monitors the integrity of sporting events to ensure that all games produce true outcomes. It follows betting activity and watches for suspicious outcomes or discrepancies in player performance.
  • Socure, Inc., a Lake Tahoe-area company, provides identity verification and fraud protection services for online sportsbooks.
  • Genius Sports Media Inc. provides sporting event data and state-of-the-art in-game streaming services with sports betting data overlays. The London company has partnered with leading sportsbooks to integrate sports streaming and betting into online sportsbook apps.
  • Telecheck Services LLC provides money processing and fraud protection services for online sportsbooks. The Georgia-based company operates in numerous US legal gambling jurisdictions.
  • Banach Technologies is a Dublin-based sportsbook solutions provider that has developed a proprietary risk-management platform. Its stated goal is to become the preeminent provider of quantitatively driven products within the sports betting industry.

Two full licensees

The two fully licensed sports betting suppliers, GeoComply Solutions and SBTech Malta Limited, offer the following services.

  • Vancouver-based GeoComply Solutions is a geolocation services provider that ensures that all NC sports bettors are legally within the boundaries set by the state to place online bets.
  • SBTech Malta Limited, based out of Malta, provides sports betting solutions and services to Tier-1 sportsbooks. The company develops sports betting and igaming platforms to a global range of providers. The company was purchased by DraftKings in 2019.
